There’s something truly magical about senior year, and I feel so honored to be part of it. As a former elementary teacher, I’ve always loved guiding and encouraging young people, and senior sessions give me the chance to celebrate them as they step into this next chapter of life. I get teary-eyed behind the lens because watching young adults become their own person is such a special, fleeting moment. Helping seniors feel confident, comfortable, and celebrated while capturing their personalities is incredibly rewarding, and each portrait becomes a memory they and their families will treasure for years to come.

One of the greatest bonuses of my work has been photographing some of my own former students — still picturing them as tiny elementary students, and then seeing them as confident young adults ready to take on the world is an unforgettable feeling for any teacher.

If anyone knows me at all, they know animals are my whole world — and now getting to photograph them is truly the best thing. From playful pups and curious cats to chickens, horses, pigs, and cows, I love highlighting each animal’s unique personality and the special bond they share with their humans. I often get emotional behind the lens because the love between pets and their people is something that can’t be described — you just know it when you see it. Photography allows me, in a small way, to preserve that bond and the joy they bring, creating portraits that families can enjoy now and cherish long after their pets are gone. My own dog, Presley, inspires me every day with his unconditional love, loyalty, and playful spirit.

Sports have shaped so much of who I am, and capturing that energy and passion through photography is a dream come true. Even my past students called me the “sporty” teacher! There’s nothing like the intensity, focus, and heart athletes bring — I feel so pumped every time I step behind the camera. Dramatic sports portraits allow me to celebrate each athlete’s strength, personality, and journey, honoring their dedication to their sport. These sessions are about creating bold, dynamic images that showcase drive, determination, and unforgettable moments.
