I am Kate. I am a former teacher, a coach, and a photographer who built this whole business around one belief: because everyone matters.
hi there, I'm Kate.
I spent nine years teaching in the classroom and coaching on the sideline before a dream of working in sports led me somewhere I never expected — behind a camera. I picked up my first camera during a graduate internship with Idaho State University's hockey club, fell completely in love with what it could do, and never looked back. I went full time in February of 2025 and have not looked back since.
Those nine years taught me something no photography workshop ever could. I know how to walk into a room full of people who are unsure of themselves and create an environment where they feel safe, capable, and completely themselves. That is not a skill I learned behind a lens. I learned it in a classroom in Filer, Idaho. It just found a new home in photography.
I did not build this business because I love cameras. I built it because I spent my whole life showing up for people and I could not stop. In a classroom, on a sideline, and now behind a lens in Pocatello, Idaho. The tool changed. The reason never did.

SPORTS ARE IN MY BLOOD
I grew up in a family where athletic excellence was the standard. My dad played college football at Utah State and went on to play for the Miami Dolphins. My brother played college football at the College of Idaho during their inaugural season. I played sports, coached basketball, and spent years on sidelines and in press boxes across Idaho. When I photograph an athlete I am not just clicking a shutter — I already understand what this sport has cost you and what it has given you back.
I spent nine years calling my students my kids. I showed up for them every single day — not just to teach them, but to make sure they knew they mattered. That never left me. Every senior who walks into a session with me gets that same energy — whether I watched you grow up in my classroom or I am meeting you for the very first time. Senior year is one of the most significant seasons of your life and you deserve a photographer who shows up for it like it matters. Because to me, it always has.

I am an active member of the Professional Photographers of America, I carry full professional liability insurance, and in 2026 I was named a Silver Finalist in the PPA International Photo Competition — one of the most respected photography competitions in the country.

Presley is a six pound Yorkie named after Elvis Presley and Finnick Odair from the Hunger Games. If you caught that second reference we are already friends. He came into my life during Covid lockdown in May of 2020 and has been my constant ever since. He has service training, travels everywhere with me, and attends most sessions in a ventilated backpack. His official title is Chief Vibes Officer. He has earned it.
